Introduction:
The 1980s and 90s were a pioneering time for video games and
System 3, set up in 1982 by Mark Cale. The original developers were
pioneers, experimenting with new technologies and gameplay
mechanics that would lay the groundworks for todays video game

The Importance of Video Game Preservation.
We have always been dedicated to pushing the boundaries of video
game development. However, as we look back on our journey, we
recognize the critical importance of preserving these creations for
future generations to maintain the cultural and historical
significance of an entire medium. Developers, too, can benefit from
looking back at older games to draw inspiration and understand the
technological and creative processes that went into their creation.
